VIRGINIA OF THE RHODESIANS was first published in London in 1903 by Hutchinson.
The Hutchinson first edition is extremely rare. I have only seen two copies for sale, and I bought one of them. My copy is signed.
It wasn't published in the USA until after THE CLAW and POPPY were runaway hits.
Dana Estes published this novel August 19, 1911 in Boston.
The Dana Estes edition comes in at least six variant bindings, all of which are displayed below, and 4 of which are in my collection.
A Stockley portrait has been pasted into the front of my copy of the Hutchinson first edition, which has also been signed by Cynthia Stockley.
