McKay, Scott and Whatmore claim that Longmans, Green, and Company published the first edition of DR. THERNE in London on November 28, 1898. This edition, purportedly composed of 10,000 copies, is not illustrated. There are no ads at the end of the book.
Longmans published the first American edition November 28, 1898. Ads at the end of the book are not dated. McKay and Scott both claim this edition was published the same date as the first British edition.
There was a serialization of this novel, published in THE DAWN OF DAY for the year 1900, illustrated by W.S. Stacey.
George Newnes published a 1902 reprint with the added subtitle: Anti-Vaccinist.
