My dear Hugh –
I am sending you my latest – ‘Selmin of Selmingford’. I wonder if you’ll be able to spot any of the localities. Selmingford doesn’t really exist, but I’ve built it and laid it out on the highest point between Dial Post & Ashington facing on to Chanctonbury.
I got more than one quack on the scientific part so that should be all right. However, don’t look ahead. Steer straight through with it.
We are going down to that part again in a day or two – that will make the 4th summer at Cowfold.
You may or may not recognise something in it, written almost to the very day last year. Tell me if you do. I have booked …
