1986 - Power of the Sword
William Heinemann published the first British edition, and Little, Brown published the first American edition.
William Heinemann reprinted POWER OF THE SWORD a few times: in 1986 (twice in the same year as the first printing), and 1990 for a Uniform Edition, even though Uniform Edition is not stated on the copyright page.
I own an exceedingly rare Uncorrected Proof copy
I own 2 copies of the first printing of the British first edition. Wilbur signed both of my copies.
The very copy that Wilbur gifted to his mother-in-law is now in my collection. "Mom" is Danielle's mother.
Signed copies where Wilbur included a date in the year of publication are not common prior to the 1990s.
I have owned and sold a few signed copies of POWER OF THE SWORD. Both copies below are first printings.
Little, Brown published its first edition in 1986
I own two different copies of the exceedingly rare Uncorrected Proof /Advance Reading copies

Signed copies are very rare; I have only ever seen the 2 copies that Wilbur signed for me
I sold one of them to another collector
