Doubleday, Page and Company published the first edition in book-form of ALLAN AND THE ICE GODS in New York on May 20, 1927. McKay and Scott both agree on the New York publication date, and claim that 3,500 copies comprise the first printing. There are no illustrations, nor ads at the end of the book.
McKay, Scott and Whatmore claim that Hutchinson and Company published the first edition in book-form in London on May 20, 1927. Apparently, 6,000 copies were printed, without illustrations, with ads at the end of the book dated Spring 1927.
Higgins claims that Hutchinson paid £300 ($25,000 in 2020 dollars) for the serial rights (no serialization was undertaken), and £700 ($60,000 in 2020 dollars) was advanced for publication in book-form.
The Ryerson Press published the first edition in Canada, likely also in 1927.
Grosset and Dunlap reprinted this title in America.
